Using this site means accepting these terms. The short version: Loans Victoria is a free publication with a single referral link, it does not lend, broker or advise, and any loan you sign after leaving here is a contract between you and a licensed lender under BC and federal law.
What you are using
You are reading pages written by an independent publisher about payday and installment lending in Greater Victoria and the rest of BC. The site holds no licence from Consumer Protection BC, because no loan and no credit decision ever happens on it. Pressing apply takes you off this domain to the platform where licensed Canadian lenders receive applications.
Accuracy and updates
Pages are written from Part 6.1 of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, the Payday Loans Regulation, the federal Criminal Interest Rate Regulations and the material Consumer Protection BC publishes, with the review date shown at the top of each page. Where a page here differs from a lender's cost of borrowing disclosure, the disclosure governs. A payday cost above $14 per $100, or an installment APR above 35%, is the signal to walk away from a lender, not a figure you will find quoted here.

The referral relationship
When a loan that began at our apply link funds, the lender pays this site a referral fee, and that fee is the site's only revenue. It flows from lender to publisher, never appears in your agreement and never touches what you repay. The referral disclosure holds the full detail, and the privacy page covers what the link itself transmits.
Your agreement is with the lender
A loan you sign is a contract between you and the lender named on it; Loans Victoria is not a party to it. A payday agreement sits under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, with every lender, online lenders included, licensed by Consumer Protection BC; a licence is not an endorsement.
The statute, not these terms, is where your protections come from: $14 per $100 as the cost ceiling; $1500 and 62 days as the limits, repaid in one payment on your next payday; the advance held to 50% of the period's net pay; cancellation at no cost to the end of the second day the lender is open for business after the first advance; and no rollovers. An installment agreement answers to the federal 35% APR ceiling. A lender ignoring any of this belongs on the complaints page.

Acceptable use
Read the site, link to it and quote short passages with credit. Copying whole pages, scraping the site or pasting its content into unsolicited messages is not permitted. The pages are written for adults; 19 is BC's age of majority.
Limits on liability
The site is provided as it is. We accept no liability for decisions made after reading it, for the conduct of any lender or of the platform, or for any of the three being offline at the moment you need them. Any limitation that BC or federal law does not allow does not apply.

Changes
These terms change when the law or the site changes, and the date at the top records when. Continuing to use the site means accepting the current version. Questions go to the contact page; the about page explains who writes everything.
